"Oh sure." Anne said smiling and taking out a piece of paper. Writing the alphabet down quickly, she sat down next to Craven. "Okay, this is the Alphabet. All words use these letters. See, this is A, B,C,D."

Smiling, Anne looked at the letters Craven was pointing to. "The first two are the letter P. Um..P starts words like Peanut butter and.....Purple." She explained. "The next ones, l. That start words like Letter. And the last one is E. Like......Elephant!"

Craven laughed. "Nah! It's only because of the pictures. Without them, I would find nothing hidden in those letters and words," she said, and turned the page to look at a cat that would like nothing more that to sleep on that very page.

Kit looked up, interested. "Hey, try this one. It was the first book I read." She dug around in a sack on the floor at the end of her bed and came up to Anne and Craven with a copy of Dr. Seuse's Hop on Pop.
(I don't know if Dr. Seuse exists really in this roleplay, but , whatever, their good books to learn from.)
