Al'ankeiron was a young warrior of his clan of the Hawkien people. His clan dwelt in the elven forests of the land of Saenir where men, animals and mystical creatures dwelt. elves were the only possesors of magic, but they stayed mostly to themselves in the forest. some humans, a select few, had the ability to manipulate the four elements, but also roaming the land were those like Kier. The changers. each able to take the form of a human and the animal of the clan of which they were born into.
Kier the hawk soared high, his white plummage glistening in the sun, his red tail shining almost as brightly as fresh blood. he watched the land.

As Ara sat againest the tree, sharping her arrows, she smiled. It was a great day and the spring was near by. Nothing could go wrong right now. Ara was the youngest of her family. She was also the best a controling water and archery. Her blue hair was cute about shoulder length and always pulled back with two bangs going to down the side of her face. She really was quite pretty, if she was in a good mood. She got annoyed very easily and normally when someone pissed her off, she beat them up. Though she was better at archery, her fighting skills were nothing to mock.

His sharp eyes picked out movement below, and he swooped, for the joy of it, and went to discover what glinted in the sun so brightly like metal. There, a girl leaning against a tree sharpening arrows. He landed on a limb above to watch her curiously.

Waving her hand, she brought the water across the tip. Washing it off and then she put out the sparks that flew. "Well, thats ones done." She said softly, putting a bang behind her ear. Taking out another arrow she did the same thing. She had about fiffty so it took awhile.

Looking up, Ara spotted a hawk. "Hey there!" She said smiling at it. "Wanna come down? I won't hurt you." She said. Ara had always had a fondness for animals. "I have some bread here to if you hungery." She offered taking it out and placing it a few feet away from her.

Kier changed and dropped down, landing lightly witha soft thump. "Why yes thank you." He said politely, not exactly sure how to adress a human. Boy would he have something to tell his friends. Not many Hawkien had spoken with a human. He smiled and stooped to pick up the bread.

"Oh! I..um.!" Ara stuttered, standing up. "What the heck?" She finally manged to get out. He had scared her. She thought he was a hawk and now she was looking a person. "what are you?"

"A hawkien, have you not heard of us?" He sat down carefully "Has it been that long since the elcers allowed us to drift to see the rest of the world that you humans forget us?"

She tensed. "Yeah, I heard of you." She said sitting down againest the tree again. "So, what are you doing in these parts anyway?" She asked sharping the last couple of her arrows.

"Nothing really, just out to see the world." he leaned back, noticing that Ara had tensed. "What have you heard of us anyway?" he asked worried that this new friend would do something drastic. He did his best to look unthreatening.

She smiled. "Lots of things. You know just the normal stories." She paused and looked him. "Trust me, I hear lots of things." Going back her arrows she throw on into his lap. "ever seen on of these before? You were staring at it before you turned into a human."
