"Nope." he said cheerfully, picking it up and examining it.

"Its called an Arrow. You shoot it out of a bow." Standing up, she put another one in her bow. "Wanna see me pin that flower over there to that tree?" She asked, showing off for him.

"Sure." he said fascinated. And the tribe elders said there was nothing worthwhile in the outside world.

Stringing the bow she aimed at it. "Okay, watch." She said letting it go. The arrow whizzed through the air. Cutting it and making a soft buzz. The tip hit the flower and lodged its self into the tree trunk. "See?" She said happily. She wasn't sure she could really do it.

"Oh yes." Kier said thinking that he would have something very interesting to sho his friends when he came back. He made a mental note to get one of these bows and some arrows.

She smiled. "So, where are you from anyway?" She asked him, using the water to grab her arrow back. She only had so many with her and she was quite a long way from her home town. The stupid stone she was supposed to find was taking longer then it was supposed to.

"The forest, tho one that the Elves are hiding in, but they aren't much fun to talk to, they would rather go talk to a tree and I find them boring. Where are you from? My name's Kier by the way."

Ara smiled. "I'm Ara." She said putting her arrow back. "I'm from a tiny village called Queto." She paused, frowing for a moment. "The reason I'm here, the stupid cermomny for become an adult in the village. I have to find some stupid rock."

"What type of rock?" Kier tilted his head in a most un human way, looking more like a curious hawk. "There are many rocks around here. I may be able to help you find it." He offered, eager for adventure.

Ara grinned. "Its blue and if you look at it, you can see your future. I have to find it and see where I belong in the village." Picking up a rock, she threw it into the river. A dissaponted look on her face. "Personally, I don't think I belong in that tiny village anyway."

"Blue sparkly rock. Not many that Ihave seen around here." He frowned "Any Idea where it's supposed to be? Even if you aren't going back to the village, it will still tell your future won't it?"

She smiled. "Yeah, it'll still show me where I have to go. Someone told me it was in some forest but I don't know." She sighed. "I'm lost and stuck."

"We can go look in my forest. The elves are always hiding things and forgetting about them. It might be there." Kier smiled warmly at his clever idea.

Ara smiled. "okay, but...how do we get there? Isn't your forest far away?" She asked him. Smiling happily. She wasn't alone for awhile now.

"Ummm, two days flight to the west. I'm not sure how long that would be walking. Then we also have to go around that big lake so..." He trailed off looking helpless. Hawks are not mathmeticians.
